  • At MLW we believe in communicating with different publics about our research work. As such we have a Science Communication Department that ensures that this is achieved.

  • Science Communication at MLW began in 2008 with the following aims:
  • Promotion: to promote the work of MLW

  • Engagement: to engage and facilitate two way dialogue about research with key stakeholders and communities

  • Uptake: to support the uptake of research into policy and practice

  • In line with our aims, the department has a communication strategy and activities that focus on the following areas of interaction:
  • Public/Community Engagement
  • Press/Media Relations (MLW – Media)
  • Staff Engagement
  • Stakeholder/ Policy engagement

    The department has three full time staff members and continues to grow as we take on new exciting projects
